This 5,500 square foot residence was designed for a family of four that entertains large gatherings often. The owner’s requirements were simple. Provide enough living area for themselves and extended family visitors without appearing overbearing on the site. To maintain the neighborhood's character, the style of the home was to be similar to the small cape that occupied the site prior to this project. The entry hall extending front to back became the spine of the house of which other rooms worked off. The rooms were also interconnected to each other allowing for open continuous flow when entertaining. As in many of our designs, allowing the flow to the exterior was accomplished with grade level patios and large lawn areas.
